- Procreate Putty is a new generation of two-component epoxy putty specifically formulated by and for professional artists to assist in sculpting and modeling miniatures. Like all epoxy putties, it will begin to harden gradually when the two components are mixed. Depending on the amounts of resin and hardener added to the mixture, slightly different properties will be obtained.
- This epoxy putty has a fine, grain-free consistency that makes it easy to mix, sculpt, and smooth, allowing for extremely fine details. Its texture is almost like polymer clay, with slightly less adhesion to Green Putty, which also means it sticks less to tools. It has low spring memory, meaning it doesn't tend to return to its original shape if stretched, flattened, or twisted.
- Gray refers both to the color of the putty after mixing and to the color of miniatures made with it. The gray color helps avoid perspective problems that can sometimes lead to errors in sizing.
- Modifications to the curing process at room temperature:
- Store leftover mixed Procreate putty in the freezer to stop the hardening process.
- Place the Procreate putty under a lamp (95ºF/35ºC max) to accelerate the hardening process.
- Thinner sections will harden more slowly
