- Thinner will dilute the paint without compromising its quality, texture, or color. By adding thinner to acrylic paint, the modeler can adjust the consistency to their preference, making it easier to apply with airbrushes and ensuring a smooth, even finish. They can also use it to create custom color mixes and adjust the paint's transparency to achieve different effects.
- To use acrylic thinner, the painter must first mix the paint and thinner in a 4:1 ratio. The ratio will change depending on the paint's density and how it will be applied. The mixture should be stirred thoroughly until the paint has reached the desired consistency. If it is still too thick, a few drops can be added at a time until the desired consistency is achieved. Conversely, if the paint is too thin, more paint can be added to the mixture.
