- The AMMO Hot Dog is a portable 350W heat gun with 2 speeds and variable temperature (70-100°C and 380°C) for model making and crafts, providing an air volume of 120 L/min and equipped with a 1.5m power cable (European plug).
- The pen-shaped design makes this heat gun ideal for small jobs and fits comfortably in the user's hand. A built-in heat sink stabilizes the internal temperature for extended operation and a longer lifespan. Other features include a burn-proof nozzle, a foldable stand for hands-free use, overheat protection (it automatically shuts off if the temperature gets too high and can be used again after 10 minutes of cooling), a lightweight, compact, and completely silent design, and non-slip rubberized sides for easy handling and to prevent potential hazards during use.
- Among its many uses in model making, the HOT DOG heat gun can be used for:
- Speed up paint drying, giving you more time to work on your kits. Use the low (I) setting and hold the heat gun about 15 cm (6 inches) from the surface while moving and rotating the piece constantly to avoid warping and ensure even drying.
- To make it easier for the decals to fit the surface of the model.
- Straighten resin and polystyrene pieces that come deformed.
- Pop the air bubbles that often appear when pouring clear epoxy or polyester resin to simulate water in vignettes and dioramas.
- But this tool has many other uses, including drying embossing powders, shrinking heat shrink tubing and vinyl, paint stripping, jewelry and candle making, drying paint, glue and polymer clay, and many more arts, crafts, and DIY applications.
