- Model Wash, a water-based wash with a matte finish, offers modelers a new interpretation of weathering processes. A wash is a highly diluted, capillary paint used to highlight details and panel lines on models, creating a contrast typically produced by wear and tear and dirt from weather or operational use. The versatility of Model Wash allows it to be used as a spot wash to recreate shadow and dirt effects around details such as rivets or panel lines. It can also be used as a filter, applied evenly over a section of the model to alter the background hue. Model Wash dries very quickly, allowing painting or weathering processes to continue approximately 20 minutes after application. It can be applied with a brush or airbrush. Tools can be cleaned with water.

- It is recommended for models painted green. It is also suitable for camouflage and natural scenery with vegetation, rivers, and lakes.
