  • A compact and versatile hand tool designed primarily for cutting small-diameter pipes. This tool is widely used by both professionals and hobbyists for construction, crafts, and DIY projects.
  • This powerful miniature pipe cutter will primarily cut plastic, but is also suitable for soft metals such as brass, copper, or aluminum. >3mm (1/8") to 22mm (7/32") in diameter.
  • The tool features a robust aluminum alloy body for durability, with a sharp, rotating blade designed to score the surface as the tool turns. The cutting disc is positioned between two guide rollers, which stabilize the workpiece during cutting to ensure accuracy and uniformity. The user can produce a clean, even groove by gradually tightening the blade and rotating the tool. Once the groove is deep enough, a slight hand turn completes the cut.
  • Designed specifically for small-diameter workpieces, between 3 mm (1/8 inch) and 22 mm (7/8 inch), making them suitable for materials such as plastic, copper, brass, and aluminum. They typically feature an ergonomic handle and a smooth-turning knob or screw for adjusting the cutting blade.
  • By following the proper usage instructions, users can achieve consistent and reliable results. It can confidently handle tasks requiring the cutting of small plastic, copper, brass, or aluminum pipes, making it an invaluable tool for anyone involved in plumbing or DIY projects.
    • Before using the tool, make sure you have chosen the correct size of what you are going to cut, i.e. >3mm (1/8") to 22mm (7/32"Check that the cutting blade is sharp and free of debris to ensure a clean cut. Also check that the rollers are free of obstructions to ensure smooth operation.
    • Position the tool over the section where you wish to make the cut. The material to be cut should rest comfortably between the guide rollers, with the cutting blade resting on the surface of the pipe. Ensure the pipe is securely held in place, preventing excessive movement that could result in uneven cuts.
    • Begin by slowly tightening the adjustment button or screw until the cutting blade lightly touches the surface of the pipe. Be careful not to overtighten at this stage; applying too much pressure too soon can cause the blade to dig into the pipe and create an uneven cut.
    • Rotate the tool so the blade cuts a continuous groove into the surface of the material being cut. Maintain a smooth and steady rotation to ensure a uniform groove. After each complete rotation, lightly squeeze the adjustment knob to deepen the groove and continue rotating. Repeat this process until a substantial groove is created.
    • Once you've created a groove deep enough to weaken the piece, you can apply pressure by gently twisting or bending the tube along the scored line to break it cleanly. For softer materials like plastic or aluminum, this should be easy. For harder materials like copper or brass, make sure the groove is deep enough before attempting to break the piece manually.
    • Once the cut is complete, the freshly cut edges may be rough or contain burrs. It is good practice to use a deburring tool or file to smooth these edges. This step ensures that the cut tube fits securely into its intended housing and prevents injury during subsequent handling.
  • This set includes 1 tube cutter.
  • Warning: This tool is not intended to function as a guillotine capable of completely cutting a pipe in two, at least not with most materials. This tool is simply for creating a groove or incision, allowing you to then break the pipe by hand. The product is not sharp enough to function as a cross-cutting guillotine, as it would dull over time and with use.
