- First installment of a new series of "Practical Guides", the first volume of which is number 41 of our Scale Modeling Manual.
- We are very excited about this new book series, which will cover the many techniques needed to create better models. We will address many of the most popular topics in this exciting hobby of scale modeling, and this first volume, by Christos Katselos, shows how to paint miniature female figures and busts, revealing all their secrets. The book consists of 11 chapters where you will find all the information you need for preparing, assembling, and painting female figures, using the latest techniques and tools. The book offers nine topics: five of them in great detail, with numerous step-by-step images across eight pages, in addition to the introduction, preparation, and assembly sections, which are especially geared toward beginners.
- All the paintings were done with acrylic paints from the renowned Spanish brand Vallejo Acrylics. Christos used approximately 65 different colors: 54 from the "Model Color" line, seven from "Panzer Aces", one from "Model Air", three from "Game Color", and one from "Metal Color", to offer a wide range of colors and avoid repetition.
- The first 52 pages are dedicated to numerous step-by-step projects, with some 195 illustrations that facilitate understanding and following the sequences. The rest of the book includes four articles with more photographs of finished models and the necessary descriptive texts.
- We are immensely grateful to Christos Katselos, a great artist, for giving us the opportunity to publish his work and share his secrets. We also want to express our special thanks, in no particular order, to Pietro Balloni, Luca Marchetti, Alex Vallejo, Darren Parker-Mead, Man Jin Kim, Alexey Lucanev, Fernando Vallejo, Taesung Harmms, Andrew Cairns, Young B. Song, Dae-Hyeong Kim, Ju Won Jung, Paul Ondeck, Sang-Eon Lee, Yannis Papadopoulos, and last but not least, our English editor, Ken Jones.
