- This is the fourth book in our "How To" series, which aims to provide detailed information on painting techniques and model making in general for all hobbyists. The books include high-quality photographs and detailed text, allowing readers to easily follow the assembly and painting process and helping them adopt new techniques and approaches.
- This issue has 70 pages, instead of the usual 68, with 160 images and 93 color samples. We explain in detail how to paint and weather a 1/35 scale "Russian" Panzer IV tank from World War II. Renowned artist Radek Pituch offers a detailed presentation of the color modulation technique and weathering sequence with 60 large-format, step-by-step images, allowing the reader to appreciate every detail of the painting and weathering, as well as the paints and materials used. Historical information and a review of the Dragon Models kit are also included. Radek's aim was to reveal all his secrets for painting (color modulation) and the weathering process, so the tank's upgrades and enhancements were kept to a minimum, as the Dragon kit is an excellent 1/35 scale model. For painting, chipping, and weathering, the artist used Tamiya, Vallejo Model Color, and Panzer Aces acrylics, Pactra and Model Master varnishes, and Winsor oils. & Newton Winton Series. He also used Royal Talens Amsterdam retarder to keep the paint wet longer, since Vallejo acrylics are water-based. For the mud effect, Radek used Vallejo and Mig pigments.
- The following article is about a German Panzer IV Ausf. E Tauchpanzer in Panzer Grey camouflage, painted by Panagiotis Giatzoglou. It consists of seven pages and includes 11 large-format photographs so the reader can appreciate every detail. The author has written a very detailed text so the reader can easily follow his painting and weathering methods, even without step-by-step photos.
- The following seven pages are devoted to the acrylic color sets relevant to Russian and German tanks of World War II: contrast and desaturation sets, liquid pigments for rain and dust (for rain marks, dust, dirt and general aging) and liquid pigments for enhancing details.
- The final 12 pages feature decals and accessories to represent a realistic and unique 1/35 scale Panzer IV Ausf E tank. A highly detailed text has been added explaining the types of German ammunition and cartridges, with detailed instructions for marking and painting.
